YAUSO: Yet another unbreakable system owned…
Strongwebmail.com has learned the lesson the hard way… Don’t tempt hackers by claiming your system is unbreakable.
In an attempt to promote their product Strongwebmail.com called a contest where they promised $10.000 to anybody who could hack into their CEO’s email and they where giving away the username and password.
Naturally they got owned. It where the guys fromĀ skeptical.org who did it and the details are here. Interestingly strongwebmail.com has pulled the press release stating their winning from their website.
The story was also covered by the Sans ISC and The Register.
Proof again the “unbreakable” systems don’t exist. And that security needs a holistic aproach.
